Candidates Needed for MWA Board and Leadership Positions

a. The Maryland Writers' Association (MWA) nomination period for Board and Leadership positions is still open until Tuesday, May 10^th, 2022. MWA invites our members to run as candidates for open positions in the next Board Election, occurring on June 20th, 2022 at the virtual membership Annual Meeting. b. Descriptions of the open positions are located at https://marylandwriters.org/MWA_Leadership_Opportunities_2022. Also, if you know of someone who would be great to fill a specific role, (twist an arm) or ask him/her to submit a nomination form! Any MWA member can submit a nomination form by logging in and completing the form on the MWA website at https://marylandwriters.org/form.php?form_id=65.

c. Filling MWA board member or leadership positions have several advantages for our members such as

1. Having fun
2. Making good friends
3. Supporting MWA
4. Getting the scoop on upcoming MWA events
5. Learning new things
6. Gaining greater satisfaction through "making a difference"
7. Becoming an active leader in the literary community

d. Candidates for the Teen Writers Club mentors (Odenton, Salisbury and Gaithersburg), MWA Tech Support, MWA Graphics Coordinator, MWA Virtual Meeting Coordinator and Pen In Hand Editor are immediate needs.
