Published Quarterly:
- Winter (January-March)
Submission Deadline: December 1 - Spring (April-June)
Submission Deadline: March 1 - Summer (July-September)
Submission Deadline: June 1 - Fall (October-December)

We’d love to publish your newsworthy blurbs, articles, and announcements in the MWA Newsletter. Send Chapter news, announcements, submissions for the newsletter to [email protected], with MWA Newsletter as the Subject.
Submission Guidelines:
The Member News column publishes announcements of your publications, awards, and upcoming author events (readings, presentations, panels, podcast information, etc.).
- Tell your writing community about your book, story, poem, commercial, play, etc., being published in the next few months or published since the last newsletter was released,
- 100 words max for your blurb, plus 50 words max for your bio. No specific typeface.
- Please include your photo and your book cover or other illustration. All photos/art should be in jpg format.
For our Community and Writer’s Toolbox columns, you are welcome to submit interviews, new information, community information, writing tools, etc.
- Articles may be 500 words max.
- Please also send your 50-word bio and include your picture (as a jpg).
Our Announcements section features writing contests, calls for submission, workshops led by members, etc.
- Announcements may be 100 words max; no specific typeface. Please also send your 50-word bio and your photo (as a jpg). You may also send any announcement- related art (as a jpg).
