MWA South Baltimore: How to Promote Your Own Book

March 10, 2021
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

South Baltimore Chapter Zoom Meeting

Approximately 1 million self-published books and 20,000 traditionally published books enter the US market each year. This means authors are always competing to get attention for their books — and sales! In this virtual workshop, authors will learn relevant and practical PR strategies to help develop a public profile for themselves and their books, and ultimately, get more sales.

Cherrie Woods is a 16-year plus PR veteran/poet who has worked in arts and culture, government and currently with authors. Woods teaches PR workshops at libraries, festivals, writing centers and conferences throughout the country and is the author of “Where Do I Start?10 PR Questions and Answers to Guide Self-Published Authors.” She has been featured in The Baltimore Sun, Fox45-TV, WJZ-TV, Maryland Public TV and SiriusXM.
