Speaker bio:
In addition to serving as Vice President of the Frederick Chapter of the Maryland Writers' Association, Kari is an active member of the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and she has been matriculating in the McDaniel College "Writing for Children and Young Adults" Master's Certificate program. She has an M.A. in Linguistics from George Mason University, which she puts to use when editing rhyming manuscripts for independent children's authors.
