Author Julie Castillo will present the interactive workshop,“So you want to write a book,”  Saturday January 14 at 1:00 pm at the Finksburg Library.
Julie is willing to answer questions about how to begin writing that novel or nonfiction book you have been thinking about for years. Also, what does it take to get a book written? How do you know whether your idea will work in the commercial marketplace? How will you promote you book to ensure its success?

Julie Castillo is a veteran of the publishing and film industries, co-writer of two novels and thirteen nonfiction books—including two New York Times bestsellers, biographer for Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, and chronicler of Ripley’s Believe It or Not!  She has taught creative writing and publishing classes at local community colleges since 2007.
The library is located at 2265 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, 21157. This event is sponsored by the Carroll County Chapter of the Maryland Writers' Association.
