About the Speaker
D.L. Carter was decanted from her incubation pod in the outback of Australia many decades ago. This terrifying event was closely followed by shrieks of "there, there it goes. Hit it with a brick!" These valiant attempts to correct the existence of D.L. were, unfortunately, unsuccessful and she now resides in New Jersey, US., in a box with her toys, two human beings and four cats. In her copious spare time - in between saving the world from alien invaders and serving our true feline masters - D. writes paranormal romances, regency romances, always keeping in mind her ambition to write the adventures of Reasonable, Practical and Sensible Heroines.

HoCo continues to collect new or gently-used books for HopeWorks. (The Howard County Domestic Violence Center.) Donators get an extra door prize ticket. All genres and age groups are needed, but due to the nature of their services, they request that the books contain no mention of violence against women or children.
